Obituary for Sinnie Kelsay

Sinnie Mae Bell Kelsay (Hollis) 09/07/1936- 09/27/2018

On September 27, 2018, we lost our beloved Sinnie- wife, devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her.

Sinnie passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved one after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Loretta, TN, Sinnie led an active life on her family farm. The family relocated to Missouri in 1938, then Central California in 1942 where they travelled while working fruit orchards.

Ray and Sinnie met as kids- Ray 10, Sinnie 7, while working in the fruit orchards. Ray joined the Army in 1953. August 6, 1955, they married and spent 63 years tighter. Sinnie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years. Together, they had 3 children, Anthony Kelsay, Jon (Chris) Kelsay, and Andrea Kelsay, all of Clearlake CA. Blessed with seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren along with her sisters Margaret Doub of Clearlake CA, Barbara Bucher of Corona CA, Sybil of TX, and brother A.D Hollis of Hartselle AL and several nieces and nephews.

Sinnie was one-of-a kind and will be dearly missed by her family and everyone whose hearts she had touched.

Funeral services will be held at Jones & Lewis Funeral home in Lower Lake CA. Services and fond reminiscences will be offered by Ron Kelsay and music by Ron Kelsay and his musical partner Gary Weatherly.

Visitation Thursday, October 4, 2018 5:00-9:00 pm Services Friday, October 5, 2018 11:00 am, with precession to Lower Lake Cemetery immediately following.

Family and friends are invited to join at their home in Clearlake for a celebration of Sinnie’s life.
